Responsible for overseeing streamlined operation of IT Applications solutions for Epic Access and Revenue Cycle applications/technologies, as well as third party integration support. Plans and manages all aspects of design, implementation and maintenance of applications to effectively apply technology solutions to improve core functions of business operation applications. Contributes to the development of hospital performance improvement strategies.

Job Requirement

Education/Experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Science, Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration, or closely related field and three (3) years leading or supporting EPIC/EHR implementations implementation and enhancement experience in areas such as clinical data repositories, revenue cycle workflow, clinical documentation, computerized order entry/results reporting, and physician access systems, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory/managerial role.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Current active certification in specific EPIC product(s).

Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree inBusiness, Information Science, Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration,or closely related field
  2. Epic certification(s) forRevCycle, i.e. Hospital Billing and Professional Billing
  3. Three (3) years of experience in patient account area and two (2) years of which are in Epicapplication build, test and support

planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing and evaluating the work of assigned staff; developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards; project management principles and practices; customer service principles and practices; implementing business process; operational capabilities of enterprise-class computing environments; project management principles and practices; configuration management principles and practices; development and delivery of quality technology training curriculums; and computer operations services; principles and practices of developing teams, motivating employees and managing in a team environment; job planning, prioritizing and scheduling techniques; techniques for dealing with staff at various levels, in person and over the telephone; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or an eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
