Materiel Management Specialist I

OSDH is seeking a full time Materiel Management Specialist I providing support to the Internal Services Department. This is a classified position (PIN#34002377) in state government, located in Oklahoma City, OK. Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the management, from acquisition to disposal, of all supplies and equipment used to support an institution or agency. BASIC PURPOSE The Materiel Management Specialist job family consists of four levels which are distinguished based on the level of complexity of specific job assignments, the extent of responsibility assigned for a specific task, the level of expertise required for the completion of assigned tasks, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others.
LEVEL DESCRIPTORS Level I:
This is the basic level where employees perform entry level work, in a training status, involving routine clerical and/or physical work in the receipt, storage and delivery of material. Incumbents will work under close supervision and will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Level I :
Education and Experience requirements at this level are none.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position. Some positions may require performing moderately heavy lifting or other manual tasks.
Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 70 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 40 pounds.
