Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for dental care? We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Insurance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of our Accounting Associate to analyze dental treatment data and interpret complex codes.

What you'll be doing:
Interpreting dental procedures and codes with precision, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing.Analyzing patient balances, clearly explaining account details, and assisting patients in understanding their financial obligations.Accepting payments and updating patient records with accuracy and efficiency.Navigating insurance reimbursement policies and coordinating benefits across commercial insurance carriers and Medicaid.Investigating discrepancies in patient accounts and taking the necessary steps to resolve any issues.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

1. Any one or combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the categories below:

A. College coursework in a health-related field, business administration/management, human resource management, or closely related fields as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)Associate's degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
B. Work experience in a healthcare environment working with medical claims, denials, rejections, referrals, and prior authorizations.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, candidates must be a current Illinois resident.

Veterans: Veterans who qualify for preference must provide proof of eligibility within ten (10) working days of submitting an application.
