Position Summary
The Senior Superintendent - Healthcare is a critical field leadership position and is foundational to our projects' success and safety. The Senior Superintendent will oversee construction of a healthcare project in the field, providing leadership to field foremen, and ensure successful completion of trade work for a job in Temple, TX. The Project Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality completion of construction process.
Responsibilities
Assist Estimating in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction servicesAssist Project Manager and Project leadership in development of Chart of AccountsAssist in development of detailed CPM ScheduleAssist in development of Detailed Scope of WorkDevelop a project site logistics planMaintain a thorough understanding of contract documentsManage McCarthy's labor force to achieve optimum performanceReview and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase ordersReview and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental ratesMonitor project costs and identify areas for improvementProvide leadership in quality processProvide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programsDocument daily construction activitiesChair weekly subcontractor coordination meetingsIssue and maintain short term schedulesAssist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal processVerify that As-Built drawings are kept current
Qualifications
10+ Years of Commercial Construction experience requiredExperience with Commercial or Healthcare projects including hospitals, laboratories and other large healthcare projectsExperience leading large Healthcare Projects in excess of $500MPrevious experience directing and coordinating tradesKnowledge of construction principles/practices requiredPrevious experience working with Project Management team including successful completion of project
