Overview

Clinical ActivitiesProvide an outstanding level of clinical performance in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities include:
Participation in the development and delivery of the group clinical practice at the Center for Women's Health and OHSU Health partner sitesMaintain a fair-share of obstetrics and gynecology call, some of which will require on-site presence at OHSU and OHSU Health partner sitesScholoarly ActivitiesLike all OHSU faculty members, Assistant Professors are expected to have some scholarly activity, this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Assistant Professor faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators.
EducationThis position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The Assistant Professor may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.
Administrative Activities As an OHSU faculty member, this position would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level, and serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as requested by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.

MD degreeOregon licensureCompletion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency. Surgical experience necessary to perform a broad range of surgeries independentlyInstruct learners in surgeryDemonstrated evidence and subspecialty training in Complex Family Planning. Must have the potential for academic accomplishmentBe board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
