Overview

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

This position reports to (supervisor): Yota Stathopoulou, D.D.S., D.M.D., Ph.D., Division Head

The duties of this position include: Participation in the education of residents and dental students, with opportunity for scholarly and service activity. Specific responsibilities will focus on clinical and didactic teaching and student assessment at the graduate and predoctoral level; opportunity exists for participation in research, Departmental strategic planning activities and committee service within the School of Dentistry.

Responsibilities

D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalentCompletion of advanced education program in Periodontics from a CODA accredited program Board Certification in Periodontics highly desiredAbility to obtain Oregon Dental License and sedation certificationBLS Certificate issued by the American Heart AssociationExperience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
