Summary:

Hui Huliau is seeking a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to support our construction management team. The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP). The SSHO will provide full-time on-site safety and occupational health management, observance, inspections, training, and safety enforcement. Ultimately, a safety and health officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of all workers on a jobsite.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Conducting project-specific safety trainingCarrying out site inspections to identify hazardsTraining employees for emergency situations and evacuationsMaintaining a site-specific reference materials and accident prevention planPerforming daily inspections of equipment and the siteResponding to any safety concernsConduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsiteConduct mishap investigationsImplementing an accident prevention plan for handling hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste.
Requirements:
High School diploma Required. Associate or Bachelors preferred.5 years' continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general constructionPosses an OSHA 30 certificationUnderstands and is committed to ethical & professional conductKnowledge of MS Office products combined with good communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills desirec.Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR training or equivalent is recommended.
Physical Work Environment:
Construction or office setting, must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold up to 50 lbs., talk, hear and sit.Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site to view construction activity in all types of weather. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines. Use hands to finger, handle, and feel.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk varying distances. At times climb ladders or pick up materials.
