Medical Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist physicians and nurses in the examination and treatment of patients. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

We are looking for someone who can:
Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies for examination of patients; cleans and sterilizes instrumentsInterview patients, measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height), and records information in patient chart; reports abnormal values to nurse and/or providerAssist physician with instruments and materials during examinationsPerform staple and suture removal and wound care using aseptic techniqueGive injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory testsMaintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient, and provides compassionate careHelps coordinate patient referrals by scheduling outside appointments, tests and proceduresComplete time-sensitive precertification's for tests and proceduresAccurately key data into computer to maintain office and patient recordsWork collaboratively with nurse to facilitate efficient clinic workflow and to ensure quality patient care and physician satisfactionRequirements:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of Medical Assistant ProgramCurrent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designationBLS certification
Preferred:
One (1) year experience in an outpatient/clinic environment
