Overview
1. Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): Provide an outstanding level of clinical performance in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities include: Participation in the development and delivery of the group clinical practice at the Center for Women's Health, and off-site OHSU Health Partners , including full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology.Maintaining a fair-share of obstetrics and gynecology call, some of which will require on-site presence at OHSU and/or off-site OHSU Health Partners.Participate in the surgical mentorship for 1 year to hone surgical skills and gain case volume. 2. Scholarly Activities (research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.): Like all OHSU faculty members, Assistant Professors are expected to have some scholarly activity; this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators. 3. Education (include types of teaching and types of student taught): This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The Assistant Professor may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology. 4. Administrative Activities: As an OHSU faculty member this position would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level, and serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as requested by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.
