Overview
The administrative assistant supports the education and outreach efforts for the Oregon Psychiatric Access Line (OPAL) program in the Department of Psychiatry. In this role, the Administrative Assistant will serve main point of contact, provide direct administrative support to team members, and supports the administrative function of the program in general. This includes answering and routing phone calls, providing excellent customer service to callers and visitors, creating, editing and distributing written materials and correspondence, maintaining files, records and documentation, managing calendars, scheduling and coordinating meetings, data entry and report creating, and providing other general office and administrative support as required. We are seeking an organized individual with a demonstrated ability in providing excellent and prompt customer service with great team player skills. Prior experience working in the healthcare field, supporting clinical providers is preferred.
Responsibilities
Two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An Associate's degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and one year of general office or secretarial experience; OR A Bachelor's degree and one year of general office or secretarial experience; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Power Point and Word.Multi-line phone system and voicemail.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook email and calendaring.Professional appearance and demeanor Personable and pleasant phone manner, speaking voice.Exhibits positive attitude and team mentality.Ability to uphold OHSU's core competencies.
