Physical RequirementsLifting objects >50lbs, Overhead reaching, bending, walking for long periods of time and in repitition, data entry, wearing Lead Apparel for long periods of time, driving to off-site UKHC locations and affiliations.

Job SummaryUK HealthCare is seeking a Medical Physicist Assistant (MPA) to support the Diagnostic Medical Physicist. Qualified individuals will have a Bachelor's of Science. Preferably, BS in Radiologic Sciences and a KY State Radiation License with ARRT credentials.
The MPA will perform testing of radiation producing equipment, quality and safety checks related to radiation safety across the enterprise, under the direction of the Diagnostic Medical Physicist, to meet and exceed State, Federal, and accrediting body regulations and standards.
In addition, this position will monitor compliance with training requirements of fluoroscopy operators in accordance with new TJC standards for the enterprise. Candidates must communicate effectively, have excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
This position will require computer skills, lifting >50lbs, travel to remote locations, and flexible scheduling (Monday - Friday days; evening, weekends, and holidays may be required.)
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesMS Office, Diagnostic Testing Tools and associated software, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, Radiology Systems.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/ExperienceBachelor of Science in physics or engineering, or Radiological Technologist with BS, KY State Radiation Operator License and current ARRT certification preferred.
