Overview
The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient setting, including, but not limited to, the administration of antibiotics, immunologics, TPN, chemotherapy, and supportive care. The RN will be required to travel to the patient's home and various locations in order to provide infusion therapy. The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSU's highest quality of nursing care. This nurse will provide availability in accordance with ONA contract guidelines with the expectation of fulfilling two shifts/month- one of which will include one Saturday per department need and set forth staffing plan.
Responsibilities
Communication skills including
fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools. Previous Experience in ambulatory or infusion. Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patientsCurrent unencumbered Oregon RN and WA licenses (WA within 30 days of hire).Certification in Basic Life Support Valid drivers licenseBSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
