Overview
Process medication assistance requests from patients, providers, pharmacists and clinic staff. Provide support to specialty pharmacy clinics, including submitting documentation to support prior authorization Provide telephonic outreach to patients for Specialty Pharmacy Program including but not limited to program introduction, enrollment, and refill reminders Provide telephonic support for various programs including but not limited to Medication Assistance, Specialty Pharmacy Program and prior authorizations Coordinate medication delivery of manufacturer-provided assistance product including but not limited to receiving freight, verifying FedEx delivery information and outreach to manufacturers to verify receipt. Perform daily activities specifically related to triage procedures or program specific procedures Demonstrate understanding of integrated health record documentation, reporting, as well as utilization of multiple system platforms
Responsibilities
High School Diploma, Active State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License AND1 year of pharmacy work experience, or equivalent additional education;ANDCertification from the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or National Healthcareer Association. Certification must be maintained.Must possess computer keyboarding skills. Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies): Ability to read and understand medical-related terms. Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations. Skill at manipulating small objects, e.g., needles, syringes, ampules. Ability to use mechanical system for transfer of fluids. Knowledge of and skill at application of aseptic technique. Ability to establish priorities in workflow. Good interpersonal communication skills.
