POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Intern. The EHS Intern will gain hands-on experience in ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop your skills in environmental, health, and safety practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies.Support the development and implementation of EHS training programs and materials.Help maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and related documentation.Participate in risk assessments and hazard analysis activities.Aid in the investigation of accidents and incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.Collaborate with EHS team members to promote safety awareness and culture across the organization.Assist in the preparation and distribution of EHS communications and reports.Assist in ergonomic assessments and improvementsSupport the implementation and monitoring of environmental programs, such as waste management and recycling initiatives.Participate in EHS meetings and contribute to discussions on safety improvements and initiatives.Conduct research on EHS best practices and emerging regulations to support continuous improvement efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Physical Requirements: The employee must able to sit for extended periods of time with periodic breaks. Employee may frequently stand, stoop and/or walk as well as lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. The employee also must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and stress.

Work Environment: The employee will normally work in an office and shop environment. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the shop floor.
