Overview
Transports medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products, and supplies to and from various locations within the OHSU environment. These locations are, but not limited to: nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, exam rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, morgue, or offices.Operates elevators for patient and equipment movement. Relieves elevator attendants for breaks.Cleans and disinfects transportation medical equipment: stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows, and utility transport carts.Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
High School diploma GED.Excellent communication with public and staff. Strong customer service experience.Must have a positive and pleasant attitude. Ability to prioritize daily tasks to maximize efficiency and patient experience. Ability to multitask and function in stressful situations. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.Must be completed within 90 days of hire: In-house biohazardous items handling Other compass modules as assigned Compliance with Code of Conduct, Respect in the workplace and Applicable policies, procedures and agreements related to position, department or OHSU as a whole Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Qualifications
