Overview

Laboratory procedures will include assisting other research assistants in data collection and laboratory management. Lab work potentially includes working with animals, rat colony management and running of operant behaviors. Additional minor duties will include data entry and general laboratory maintenance.

Responsibilities

Education:
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in high school, college (undergraduate minimum 6 credit hours; graduate minimum 4.5 credit hours)
Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
Ability to use computer software including Microsoft and statistical softwareAbility to communicate effectively, in both written and oral formatsAbility to work together with other lab staff in a positive and productive mannerAbility to prioritize work demands, and coordinate research protocols with other staffOrganizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job dutiesHigh level of self-motivation and integrity
Qualifications

Education:
Courses in psychology or Biology
Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and graphics software
Basic laboratory skills
