Overview
Assist pharmacists through performance of the accurate execution of the following activities:Computer order entry of outpatient orders.Answering telephone, filing, billing / crediting and medication profile maintenance.Assist pharmacists through performance of the accurate execution of the following activities:Filling medication orders.Packaging and shipping medication orders.Load and refill medications into ScriptPro and overall stockPrioritize orders to assure that product is delivered to patients in a timely mannerOrganize and restock work areas during and prior to end of shift, and remove expired medicationInteracts with other healthcare team members and patients and displays a high level of customer service commitmenOther Duties as assigned Responsibilities
High School Diploma, Active State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License, including the completion and maintenance of job-specific competencies and certifications.Must possess computer keyboarding skills. Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies): Ability to read and understand medical-related terms. Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations. Skill at manipulating small objects, e.g., needles, syringes, ampules.Ability to use mechanical system for transfer of fluids. Knowledge of and skill at application of aseptic technique. Ability to establish priorities in workflow.Good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work under supervision of diverse Pharmacists. Qualifications
